Hi, afraid you should check your facts, Ben has been with the show since it began. Cenk came up? with the show (for radio) and I believe did 1 test show then asked Ben to join him and the two of them are what started The Young Turks. Though I do agree Ben comes off wrong often, especially when Cenk isn't on, but I do find he's good as a 3rd as he often catches facts Anna & Cenk sometimes miss or overlook. Hope This Helps.

i cant say i hate him... I actually think he is hilarious.. my only problem with ben is that he could maybe give more input on current events and tone it down a bit on the anecdotes... every story seems to distract him and cause him to retell something that happened to him when he was younger.. most of the times they are clever stories but he just tells them too often for a guy on a news show.. Maybe? make a colab show with TYT called Ben's Briefs. I would listen to both TYT and Ben

Except that is what you said... in fact, here you go: "My? issues with Ben couldn't be chalked up to a misunderstanding of sarcasm, even if that were the case. Make an intelligent argument, please." - Thats what you said word for word and I didnt fucking reply to it as you said I? would or at all as I said! Oh I get it, this has been your thing all along... you just cant accept that people have different views to you. Well done and fuck off.
By: sicklesickle. on 02 Nov 10, 19:12:54
No, that's a straw-man, because that is not what I said. Regardless of comparisons between americans and british, Ben is simply NOT FUNNY. Sarcasm? and joking around is great, Cenk does it all the fucking time. Ben just doesn't do it very well. Are you defending him because of national pride? You shouldn't have to force others to believe that someone is funny, that makes no sense. Either a guy is funny or he's fucking not. The people agree, he's not. Are you Ben in disguise?

People hate people. It's best just to chin up and keep on walking.?
By: aaronsande. on 02 Nov 10, 13:09:50
I'm curious why people LIKE Ben. Can you answer, for your? particular situation?
By: aaronsande. on 02 Nov 10, 13:09:11
Oh, NM...looks like I have? 23 thumbs-up already, so I guess I'm not alone after all! LOL
By: aaronsande. on 02 Nov 10, 13:08:42
Thank you! One? person responded from a logical standpoint, understanding my position! It's good to not be alone in this opinion.
By: LOUSE37. on 02 Nov 10, 11:16:03
why is this at me? I said it's ok to quote something man...especially "nigger" which they have? done on numerous occasions...
By: CraigMetalHead. on 02 Nov 10, 06:00:10
Oh and you have even proven me right, unwittingly, even before you had started claiming you knew how I would act if you had? said your problems with Ben arent about not understanding sarcasm... because look, thats EXACLTY what you said to GooGobbler113 in response to his reply to ME... and what did I do? Did I do what you said I would do and reply in a snide manner? No, it appears that I left that comment alone. Mind if I go ahead and declare victory and go to bed now?
By: CraigMetalHead. on 02 Nov 10, 05:53:52
Actually no, I am effectively dismantling your entire argument by pointing out that you are placing arguments in my mouth that I had never siad and have done so on more than one occassion. You are sabotaging your own argument, it is not my fault for noticing. In fact, you very first reply to me was one where you fabricated parts of my argument for you to attack. You have been fighting a? straw man from the start.
By: CraigMetalHead. on 02 Nov 10, 05:49:17
Once? again, still jumping to conclusions because basing your argument in reality is what? Too dull? Or just too difficult? If you had said "I understand Bens sarcasm, my reasons for disliking him are etc." I wouldnt have replied at all... your reasons are your own.
By: CraigMetalHead. on 02 Nov 10, 05:45:33
Averages arent generalizations you tard... well, at least we know what we are dealing with now. Claiming I need to look up definitions? Now you are a hypocrite on 2 fronts, you are both smug AND condescending... well done. Averages are calculations based on wide observations, generalizations are obsevations on small numbers that are broadened without warrant. And while averages and generalizations dont hold true to every individual I never claimed they did! Again,? straw man!
By: XeliosX. on 02 Nov 10, 05:36:47
That's a bit of a personal opinion isn't it? Constantly? Generalizing isn't a good way to make an argument. I don't see any such annoyance on Ana's part. She laughs, she agrees, and she finishes the story, and they talk about it, or they don't. When they do, Ben dominates the conversation, just like Cenk does, and Ana gets her two cents in every now and then, again, just like she does with Cenk. They really -are- far more alike than? they are different.
By: RetiredBard. on 02 Nov 10, 05:32:56
You are attempting to invalidate my entire argument based on one poorly chosen phrase. I? have maintained a single key point that should be common sense to anyone - generalizations are not true for every individual.
By: RetiredBard. on 02 Nov 10, 05:29:57
Oh, you caught me - I misspoke. I? meant to say you would have responded in the same snide manner you did the other poster. Poor choice of words on my part.
By: RetiredBard. on 02 Nov 10, 05:27:11
Averages, in other words, generalizations. Why is it so hard for you to accede that you cannot simply dismiss one person's opinion a generalization? This has been my key point with you. The tone of my comments reflects the arrogant tone you took regarding someone else. Apparently, you might need to refresh your memory on the definition of hypocrite. Or does it only apply to others, and not yourself??
By: CraigMetalHead. on 02 Nov 10, 04:33:26
In case you havent heard the term, let me fill you in: You are attempting to implant little fabrications of your own into MY argument to make it easier for you to win... AKA a strawman argument. You are claiming I have said things I have not and when I informed? you of what would have been a perfectly acceptable way to construct your sentence you claimed I would do something I would not just so you dont "lose" an argument on the internet. Lets face it, you have already "lost".
By: CraigMetalHead. on 02 Nov 10, 04:30:50
Also, no I wouldnt have argued with it... but of course I should have expected you to jump to assumptions as you have so many times already. I am beginning to see why you can be so wrong and yet think that you are right. You have constructed a character of me within your mind and made yourself believe that I fit into this mold you have created for me, thats why you say I think would do something without any proof and that my argument is something completely? fabricated.
By: CraigMetalHead. on 02 Nov 10, 04:27:26
Ahhh, the hypocrite... so? frequently does he rear his ugly head on YouTube. "I dont like that hes condescending and I have decided you are being condescending based on false assumptions I made despite you already providing points that render my assumptions moot before I even make them... and now I am going to be condescending.".
By: CraigMetalHead. on 02 Nov 10, 04:23:05
Actually no, I am arguing in averages however YOU are arguing in assumptions... remember that genetics thing? Yeah, I pointed out how you jumped to conclusions there and it was never? mentioned again. And now you have done it again, except this time I have given evidence that my argument is what I say it is rather than not saying either way. You shouldnt be making assumptions at all in this case as I have already given the recquired information.
