Well, it's true, sort of. It was a modern action movie. And not everybody likes those. I had fun watching it, but it wasn't at all? like the Star Trek movies I liked; and there are quite a few I didn't like. Also, LOL at the guy saying "the storyline made sense". Red matter creating black holes that DON'T destroy ships, timewarps, sucking up planets, that's quite the nonsensical "do whatever we need it to do"-plot device they had there and pretty much only used it to shoe-horn old Spock in there.

This was sadly inevitable. Change is not always for the better. I am British and still wear a bowler hat? and pin-stripe suit to my work. My younger more 'modern' colleagues often giggle and constantly describe my attire as; "In the past" "Out of Date" and "Seriously dangerous" in my role as an atlantic deep sea fisherman.

Years ago, Shatner was criticized for telling fans to "get a? life" and that it's "just a TV show." He was right. Brutal in his honesty, but correct, nonetheless. Star Trek is fiction. Klingons are fictional. Vulcans are fictional. Warp drive is centuries away, if not impossible. Same goes for transporters. Many people, unfortunately, caught up in this imaginary world, and it does them more harm than good. It's OK to like Star Trek, just get out and experience the real world now and then
